Doug Ford, former Toronto city councillor and brother of the late Rob Ford—Toronto’s former mayor who was videotaped smoking crack—has won the race to lead Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives into the next provincial election, according to media reports.
Conservative leaders have not confirmed the news of Ford's win, which was first reported by CBC News and CP24, citing party sources on Saturday.

Attendees at a Progressive Conservative Party leadership convention, where the vote took place, booed leadership organizing committee chair Hartley Lefton when he took the stage to say that the winner wouldn’t be announced due to an an ongoing review of some ballots, and that everyone would have to leave the hotel because they no longer had access to the venue.
Lefton said the party would issue a press release about the ballot review, but offered no timeline. The party is still left without an official new leader—Ford apparently beat Christine Elliott based on riding points, but Elliott won the popular vote.
Ford - Victory - Margins - Elliott - Caroline
Ford is thought to have clinched the victory by the narrowest of margins, beating out Elliott, Caroline Mulroney, and Tanya Granic Allen.
