A three-story home in Malibu almost toppled down a cliff side because of an active landslide on Wednesday, according to fire officials.

Firefighters and building officials rushed to the 2800 block of Hume Road in Malibu, California where the foundation could be seen crumbling.

A part of the home's retaining wall had already collapsed.

'We did find a good amount of water there. We don't know if it was in the Earth itself, or possibly a sprinkler,' firefighter Randall Wright told KABC-TV.
