A Canadian sex offender is allowed to finish his spring semester at college before completing a prison sentence for sexually exploiting a 13-year-old girl.
Officials sentenced Connor Neurauter, 21, a student at the University of Calgary, to 90 days in prison, two years probation, and required the student to register as a sex offender, reported Fox News. Neurauter started serving his sentence on Jan. 4., but was allowed to interrupt the sentence to finish up the school year.

Neurauter, at age 18, sexually exploited the an unidentified 13-year-old girl. The girl claimed that Neurauter choked her and gave her a bra as a present. The girl said he threatened to show her family nude photos if she told people about his alleged abuse.

The University of Calgary could not expel Neurauter since the incident happened before he was in college. The University did advise him not to return to school.
