A sniffer dog has stopped more than £1 million of cash that was being smuggled in through Heathrow airport.

Jessie, a two-year-old springer spaniel has only been working with the UK Border Force for five months but has had a 'unprecedented run of success'.

Scent - Ink - Banknotes - Sums - Cash

She is trained to detect the scent of ink on banknotes and has found large undeclared sums of cash being brought into the country in hand luggage from the Middle East as well as £350,000 in banknotes that was being sent abroad.

Border Force dogs have discovered more than £8 million of cash through Heathrow and Gatwick in the 12 months to the end of last March.
