The United States has been ravaged by frigid cold due to the bomb cyclone, not even leaving drinking water safe.

A video has surfaced of a home in Sumrall, Mississippi, where the water is so cold, that by the time it hits the bottom of the sink, it already freezes.

'It was 17 degrees in Mississippi this morning, and 55 degrees in my kitchen,' said Allison McKenzie, who posted the video.

'The water was below freezing, yet still a liquid, so as soon as the water hit the cool tub of the sink, it instantly turned to ice.'

In the clip, filmed on Tuesday, the water can be seen freezing immediately.

Piling into a small pillar, the ice looks like a small slushy in the sink.

Eventually, however, the stack of ice gets too tall and topples over itself.

But it rebuilds and gets to about the same height as before.
