Brown University Taking In Tuition-Free Students From Puerto Rico

Brown University is offering free tuition to students from the University of Puerto Rico, after Hurricane Maria shut down their campus.

The Ivy League college said it will enroll up to 50 students and help them with their housing, travel, and their entire tuition, according to a statement from Brown released Sunday.

“Partnering with the University of Puerto Rico offers the opportunity for us to welcome exceptional students and scholars to College Hill to continue their research and education while their campuses work to reopen,” Brown said in the statement.
