A California driver who was almost three times the alcohol limit has been arrested this week after she killed a mother who was on her way home from visiting her premature twins in hospital.
Twenty-one-year-old Alexis Cina lost control of her car, crossed the central median and slammed into mom-of-six Katie Evans, 37, in a horrific crash on October 6.

Evans had recently given birth to premature twin girls Sarah and Hannah, and was on her way home from visiting them in hospital when she was killed.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department declared Ms Evans dead at the scene.

Santa Clarita Valley Station traffic investigators arrested Cina of Canyon Country on suspicion of drink driving.
According to the sheriff's department, she had a blood alcohol content of .21, far above the legal limit of .08.

The accident happened on October 6. However, on October 18 Cina was arrested for felony vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence, causing injury.
She was held at Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's jail with bail set at $200,000.
