Film - Naomi - Alderman - Novel - London
The film, which is adapted from Naomi Alderman’s 2006 novel, is set in London and features McAdams as Esti Kuperman and Weisz as Ronit Krushka, two childhood friends who fall into a romance after Krushka returns home in the wake of her rabbi father's death.
Complicating matters is that Kuperman is wed to Rabbi Dovid Kuperman (Nivola), who is the religious heir apparent to Krushka's late father.
