Olly Murs has been forced to apologise after footage emerged of him launching into an expletive-filled rant at fellow football fans.

The singer, 33, had attended Manchester United's Super Cup final clash with Real Madrid in Macedonia, Spain, but appeared to lose his cool during his team's 2-1 defeat on Tuesday.

In a video obtained by The Sun, Olly was seen swearing multiple times, telling another spectator to 'f**k off' and branding them a 'c**t' in his foul-mouthed rant.

Apologising for his actions, the former X Factor host had told the paper: 'I was away with a group of lads and got carried away.' It was out of character,' he insisted, before adding: 'I apologise to anyone I offended.'

His comments came after a source had claimed to The Sun that Olly had used the terms 'f**k off' and 'c**t' at least '40 times' in the first half of the match.

The star is said to have been told to 'calm down' by another spectator, after 'turning on' a pal in the stands, as the source alleged: 'Olly kept telling him to f**k off and leave him alone, but the man stayed really cool.'

A keen football fan, Olly is often seen championing his side Manchester United and over the years has taken part in several celebrity football matches - including Soccer Aid which sees a hosts of celebrities and footballing legends come together for Unicef.
