A broadcast meteorologist has become an online hero after putting down his teenage daughter in a cutting text when she questioned his authority on the weather.
Chris Holcomb, 52, chief meteorologist at 11Alive News in Atlanta, Georgia, received a message from his daughter Claire, 18, calling his snow forecast into question with a weather app.

The father-of-two's response - which said 'maybe your weather app will pay for your college' - has become an online hit after he shared their exchange on Twitter.
Claire's message came after Chris, who lives with his family north of Atlanta, reported that snow showers were likely, following careful consultation of data and maps.

After his report, he received a text from Claire that read: 'The weather app says it's not gonna [sic] snow.'
At first Chris, who has been a meteorologist for nearly 30 years, replied saying 'thank you,' but then could not resist reminding her that his expertise will help fund her college tuition.
