A famous pasta chef has shed almost half his body weight over the past five years -and he did it free of gimmicks.
Michelin-starred chef Michael White had just turned 40 years old when he decided to make lifestyle changes that helped him lose 137 pounds and 14 inches off his waist.

After making a career serving up risotto and decadent pasta dishes in his New York City restaurants Ai Fiori and Marea, White had gained 100 pounds since college, The New York Post reported.
In 2010, White was tipping the scales at 374 pounds which he said was due to spending hours in the kitchen without exercising.

The 6ft 4in chef would have two breakfasts, large meals before his dinner shifts, and late-night meals after work.
After eliminating late-night sushi binges and swapping braised meat for roasted chicken, the 45-year-old weighs in at 237 pounds, a weight he has held steady for the past two years.
