Danny Garcia's impressive win over Ivan Redkach was marred by a bizarre incident in which the Ukrainian bit the former world champion deep into the fight on Saturday night.
With the 31-year-old dominating for much of the contest, a frustrated Redkach lost his cool in the eighth round and bit Garcia while the pair were tussled in a clinch.

Despite the bite, the American cruised the remaining four rounds to earn a comfortable unanimous win, with the judges scoring the contest 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111 in Garcia's favour.
After the fight, Garcia said that his Ukrainian foe referred to Iron Mike Tyson when he bit him, after the former heavyweight champion controversially bit Evander Holyfield during their bout in 1997.

Garcia improved to 36-2 with his second straight win. He last fought on April 20, 2019, when he knocked out Adrian Grandos.
