Piers Morgan responded to Buckingham Palace's historic announcement tonight that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be retiring from royal life by suggesting the Queen had told them to 'sling their part-time royal hook'.

The TV presenter, who has made no secret of his dislike for the Duchess of Sussex's behaviour since she ghosted him, tweeted his thoughts immediately after the Megxit deal was revealed.

Piers Morgan said: 'Philip must be devastated.'

Solace - Situation - Note - Death - Arrival

However he took some solace in the situation and said: 'On a positive note, this spells the death on arrival of Meghan and Harry's plan for a 'progressive' new Monarchy.

'So they thankfully won't be 'woking' the Windsors after all.'
