A Dominican man, who was listed on the FBI's most wanted list, was arrested Monday in Colombia.
César Emilio Peralta was taken into custody by the police in Bocagrande, an exclusive neighborhood in the Caribbean port city of Cartagena.
Peralta - Panama - Capture - Authorities - Apartment
Peralta, 44, was reportedly planning on flying to Panama to continue to evade capture before authorities barged into an apartment and apprehended him, according to General Henry Sanabria, commander of the Cartagena Police.
He was accompanied by a group of people, who according to Sanabria, did not have outstanding arrest warrants.

'We established through a coordinated work with the Prosecutor's Office of Colombia, DEA, the FBI and the Dominican Republic Police that Peralta had been in Cartagena for a couple of days and that in the next few hours he would travel to Panama, so we had to act promptly to prevent its escape,' Sanabria said.
The FBI offered a reward of $100,000 for information leading to his arrest.
Indictment - November - United - States - District
An indictment was issued November 2018 through the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, charging Peralta with conspiracy to import cocaine, heroin and distribution of cocaine.
Peralta allegedly rose to become the leader of one of the Dominican Republic's largest drug trafficking organizations.

Peralta was arrested on several occasions and was accused of cocaine possession in the Dominican Republic.
