‘6 Underground’ Trailer: Michael Bay & Ryan Reynolds Bring Bayhem To The Beautiful Streets Of Italy

You know how people say that Adam Sandler’s most recent comedy films (not “Uncut Gems,” but the films that he makes for Netflix) are just excuses for his friends to get together and go on a paid vacation for a few months? Well, I don’t know about the validity of that, but judging by the new trailer for “6 Underground,” I’m pretty sure Michael Bay conned Netflix out of a large sum of money for ulterior motives, such as destroying Italy. Well, not the hot women in Italy, but he just wants to wreak havoc on the art, culture, and architecture.

Now, you might read that and think that I somehow hate the trailer for the action film coming later this year to the streaming service. And you’d be dead wrong. Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first trailer for “6 Underground,” which felt like star Ryan Reynolds doing his smarmy jokes surrounded by big guns and loud explosions. You know, a typical Michael Bay film. However, this new trailer feels a bit self-aware, and I’m here for it. Sure, there’s the male gaze, loud music, overly-saturated colors, and witty one-liners, but it almost seems as if the film understands that’s what...
