Secret deodorant is trolling Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans with an advertisement suggesting US women's soccer star Carli Lloyd replace placekicker Matt Gay after he missed a potential game-winning 34-yard field goal in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants.

The ad appeared online and in the Tampa Bay Times, showing Lloyd kicking a field goal during Philadelphia Eagles training camp last month. In fact, video of Lloyd kicking that 55-yard field goal went viral, after which reports emerged that a few NFL teams were interested in signing her.

'Hey Bucs fans, do you sweat 34-yarders?' the Secret ad reads. 'Carli Lloyd doesn't. Secret believes strength is more than overcoming what makes us sweat. The 37-year-old two-time World Cup champion wasn't shy about re-posting the ad on several social media platforms.

A rookie fifth-round pick, Gay also missed an extra point in the first quarter of Monday's 32-31 loss to New York, and he previously missed a 42-yard field goal against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.

Gay is actually the team's 11th kicker since 2009, but coach Bruce Arians insists he's not looking for a 12th.

'You paid your money, [so say] whatever you want to say,' Arians said Monday about fans being amid criticism of Gay. 'He isn't going anywhere.'

Lloyd - Coach - James - Galanis - ESPN

As Lloyd's longtime coach James Galanis told ESPN, Lloyd received offers from two NFL teams last month, but he said she's unlikely to pursue a placekicking career until she's had a full off-season train for the job.
