A businessman was killed when he was crushed by a branch while he slept in a tent after lightning hit a nearby tree.

Chris Perow, 33, who had married only three months before the tragedy, was on a hunting trip in Idaho.

A large branch fell on his tent and sheriff's officials say, Perow died instantly in the tragic episode Sept. 18.

Perow was hunting with his brother-in-law, Dan Groh, a marine and firefighter, according the family's Go Fund Me page.
