Armed pizza shop burglar is arrested in Atlanta after he was found in the store's closet

Authorities detained an armed burglar who tried to rob an Atlanta pizza shop before hiding in the store's closet in an effort to get away from police.

Michael Antonio Rolax Jr, 20, was arrested on Monday after Atlanta police were called to the Sarpino's Pizzeria at 2521 Piedmont Road for reports of a robbery.

Officers - Scene - Victims - Lithonia - Georgia

Two responding officers arrived at the scene at approximately 3am and learned that two victims were allegedly shot at by the Lithonia, Georgia, resident.

Rolax is said to have started a fight with the victims before producing a black pistol and firing at them, the City of Atlanta Police Department said in a Monday release.

Pizzeria - Employee - Suspect - Eatery - Cash

A pizzeria employee also claimed that the suspect rushed into the eatery as it was closing, and proceeded to demand cash from the register.

The employee described Rolax as wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and black and red socks....
