A Florida man arrested for threatening to use an assault rifle to shoot up a Walmart had a history of making racist, social media posts, according to newly filed court documents.

Richard D. Clayton, 26, of Winter Park, posting on Facebook under the name Jared Janota, used the social media platform to express racist language and stereotypes, and to clear the air about his white supremacist leanings, according to a 77-page report filed in Orange County Circuit Court Thursday.

'Everyone [in real life] calls me a 'Nazi' despite my countless attempts to correct their assumptions about my political beliefs by claiming that I am simply a white nationalist and registered Republican,' he wrote in an October 24 post, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

'And the only reason I balk at the terminology normies use to describe me is because I don't fully understand national socialism's economic principles, and because capitalist, corporate America has done very well for my family, as well as for many other families like mine,' he continued.

Clayton remains jailed after he was arrested by Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agents on August 9, after authorities said he made a threatening post on Facebook saying, '3 more days of probation left then I get my AR-15 back. Don't go to Walmart next week.''

The post by Clayton was allegedly made on August 4, one day after a man who authorities said posted a white nationalist manifesto online is said to have traveled 600 miles to a Walmart in El Paso, Texas where he shot and killed 22 people and injured 24 others.
