And David Bowie's rise to the top of the charts and permanent place in music lovers hearts will be followed in the new biopic Stardust.

In the first look at the film, Johnny Flynn effortlessly transformed into the British icon who paved the way for a new generation of performers and created electric sounds accompanied with a larger-than-life stage presence.

The film follows David as he embarks on a road trip to America with publicist Ron Oberman (Marc Maron) in 1971, according to Deadline.

Journey - United - States - Bowie - Alter

While on the journey to the United States, 24-year-old Bowie creates his alter ego Ziggy Stardust.

At that point in his career, David had already acquired a following as a rock 'n' roll, teen idol and created a new identity...
