Samsung and Microsoft have teamed up on a new laptop that aims to combine the convenience of a mobile device with the power of a PC.
The South Korean tech firm debuted its new Galaxy Book S during the Unpacked event at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, showing off a 'super-slim and ultra-light' device with a 13-inch touchscreen, Windows 10 operating system, and 23-hour battery life.

It will come in two colors – Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray – when it's released in September, starting at $999.

It's powered by Windows 10 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8cx compute platform, and has LTE capability to add 'virtually constant connection to the cloud,' the firm says.
The system weighs just 0.96 kg and is cased in an anondized aluminium frame for protection against daily hazards, and its 13.3-inch display boasts a 10-point multi-touch for control at the tap of a finger.
