Hunt for phantom book ripper who has torn out the last pages of more than 200 books

Residents of a town in Kent are hunting a 'Book Ripper' who has torn out the pages of more than 200 books in High Street stores in just three months.

The ripper has struck charity shops and the local library in the coastal town of Herne Bay, Kent.

Suspect - Charity - Shop - Books - Week

The suspect has reportedly wrecked around 15 charity shop books every week since April.

He or she has a distinct method of ripping the pages out sideways (horizontally) instead of tearing the pages out vertically from top to bottom.

Shops - Demelza - Charity - Book - Shop

Among the shops targeted include the local Demelza charity book shop which raises cash for sick children.

It is believed that 180 books have been targeted...
