'The Usain Bolt of pandas' stuns a driver with its 'lightning' speed

With their portly stature, extremely slow movement and passion for napping, pandas are not the most athletic species around.

But one bamboo-eating bear has stunned Chinese web users with its extraordinary running speed and was even compared to world-record-holding retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt by media.

The wild animal, nicknamed 'the Usain Bolt of pandas', was spotted 'sprinting' on an uphill path in front of a car in Ya'an, China's Sichuan Province, on June 25.

Amusing footage shows the panda running in front of the car for about 10 seconds before turning to a steep slope.

Video - Engineer - Way - Road - Colleagues

The video was taken by an engineer, who was said to be on his way to carry out road works with his colleagues on the Jiajin Mountain.

One eyewitness named Yao Linmin told China's Red Star News that he and his co-workers saw the panda cutting in front of them from the left before speeding down...
