A 39-year-old driver in West Vancouver enjoyed his new McLaren supercar for a total of 10 minutes before it was impounded by police.
A traffic patrol spotted the 2019 McLaren 600LT speeding westbound on Highway 1 shortly after 10 p.m. on June 17.

The high-end vehicle’s speed was clocked at more than 99 miles per hour in a 56 miles per hour zone, police said.
The driver from Coquitlam told police that he had just left the car dealership a few minutes earlier.

'The driver had mentioned this vehicle was new to them and they had been driving it for no more than 10 minutes prior to being stopped by police,' Constable Kevin Goodmurphy of West Vancouver Police told CityNews.
