The poor dog's body was found still tied to a long piece of wire in Bootle, Merseyside, at around 6.30am.
Her injuries suggest that she ran alongside the vehicle until she could no longer keep up, at which point she fell to the ground and was dragged along the road.

RSPCA Inspector Joanne McDonald said the horrendous injuries to the animal, which had recently given birth to a litter of puppies, were consistent with her being dragged along the street.
The dog is believed to have been aged around two.

Ms McDonald said: 'I believe someone has tied the dog to a vehicle and then drove along dragging this poor pet to her death.
'There is skin missing on her feet and it looks as though she has run along to try and keep up with the moving vehicle until she was no longer able to.
