Bond girl Ana De Armas pays tribute to her home country of Cuba

She is set to star as one of the latest Bond Girls in 007's hotly-anticipated return to screens in Bond 25.

And Ana De Armas paid tribute to her home country of Cuba, as she took to Instagram on Wednesday to show fans around Santa Cruz del Norte, which is an hour’s drive east of the capital, Havana.

In a gushing first post, of a picture featuring her and one of her grandparents, the 31-year-old actress wrote: 'This is home! This is Cuba. Where my family is at, my roots, my pride and my heart. My strength, my loved ones, my hood, my blood.

She continued: 'I will always be proud of it,m I will always remember, I will always want the best for my country and my people.'

One stunning image saw the actress pose for a selfie with her mother Ana, who she called her number one.

While in another image she could be seen with a family member, who she kissed on the shoulder after waking up, as she wrote happily: 'This is where I like to sleep and what I wanna wake up to in the mornings. This is happiness!'

Taking her followers on a tour of her hometown, Ana also showed off the colourful yet humble flats that she resided in, including the long walkway between residents.

Ana enrolled at the Escuela Nacional de Teatro, the national theatre school, in 2002, when she was 14, and she also took a snap of the building where she trained.
