A new scene from season 3 of Netflix's Stranger Things has been teased - and it seems that there's a new romance bubbling.

In the clip, the housewives of Hawkins, Indiana are seen reclining by the outdoor swimming pool in the height of summer, eagerly awaiting lifeguard Billy Hargrove to turn up for his shift.

Boy - Steps - Ladies - Pool - Spin

And soon enough, the tanned, buff bad boy steps out - sending the ladies around the pool into a spin.

Notably, Mike's mother, Karen Wheeler, is there - fresh from last season's scene in which she answered the door to Billy in nothing but a towel, having been enjoying a candlelit bubble bath with a romance novel.

Karen - Stay-at-home - Mum - Series - Distraction

While Karen has been an atypical stay-at-home mum throughout the series so far, it appears she's finally looking for a distraction from her mundane marriage to Mike's father.

'Afternoon ladies,' Billy says to the quartet of sunbathing women by the pool as he struts past them.

Chair - Pool

'Thank you!' she replies, flirtatiously, before watching him climb up onto his lifeguard chair and peruse the pool.

Season 3 will see eight episodes all go to air on Thursday July 4.
