50 Cent's Starz series Power will end after its' sixth season, but insiders say that the rapper's feud with producer Randall Emmett is not at the heart of the decision to end it.
Sources told TMZ that 50 Cent is on good terms with Emmett at this point, and feels Power has creatively peaked, and doesn't want it to grow stale.
Cent - Pact - Starz - Shows - Air
50 Cent first came to a pact with Starz to bring three other shows to the air in 2017, and the deal is up in September, the outlet reported.
The show, which first hit the air in 2014, was based around James 'Ghost' St. Patrick, a New York City club owner and drug kingpin played by Omari Hardwick. 50 Cent played the role of Kanan Stark on 42 episodes of the series, which also featured Naturi Naughton, Michael Rainey Jr., La La Anthony, and Jerry Ferrara.
Rapper - Month - Scrum - Feud - Emmett
The 43-year-old rapper last month had been embroiled in an online scrum with feud with Emmett, 48, and his fiancee, Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent, 29, over an outstanding loan Emmett eventually repaid.
The rapper was on social media last month looking to embarrass Emmett with a series of posts after repeated warnings of retribution if he didn't pay back the loan, which 50 Cent said was at $1 million until Emmett paid him $250,000.
