Kanye West's Coachella performance illuminated in time-lapse video showing construction of his hill

He performed to more than half of all weekend two attendees at the Coachella Music Festival.

Now a time lapse video posted to Instagram on Monday explains just how Kanye West's hillside performance came to be.

Rapper - Designer - Hill - Stage - Fleet

The 41-year-old rapper had his usual designer create the hill stage via a fleet of massive earth movers.

The TrasK House, a design firm run by John McGuire, was responsible for recent stage designs for Travis Scott and Kanye. They posted time-lapse videos of the Coachella hill construction.

Zooming - Video - Circle - Dirt - Clay

In the zooming video, a circle of dirt and clay is slowly pushed by earth movers into a hill as they go around in circles, pushing the center ever higher.

'#SundayService #Coachella And build up,' wrote the account for The TrasK House.

Video - Monday - Hill - Side - View

A subsequent video posted Monday showed a now-built up hill from a side view as dirt continued to be added.

While one tractor built up the hill with dirt, another drove in circles to tamp down the large divots.

Video - Finishing - Touches - Mound - Earth

A final video showed the finishing touches being put on the mound of earth.
