French firefighters were not sure if they could contain the Notre Dame Cathedral fire that broke out Monday.
Spread - Fire - Belfry - Spokesman - Paris
“We’re not sure of being able to stop the spread of the fire in the north belfry,” a spokesman for Paris’s firefighters said, according to The New York Times Monday.
Nearly 400 were deployed to battle the fire.
Deputy - Interior - Minister - Laurent - Nunez
Deputy Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said it was “not certain” whether the church could be saved as well, The Local France reported.
