‪At 4:25 p.m. on Thursday, #MDFR responded to an incident where a vehicle was found dangling off of a second-story parking garage with a trapped driver inside near South Royal Poinciana Boulevard and Oakwood Dr.‬ ‪A total of 11 units responded to this incident, including a technical rescue team and a specialized heavy rescue vehicle. The technical rescue team utilized the specialized vehicle to secure and stabilize the car so they can proceed to assist the person inside the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stable, one of the rescuers assisted the driver out. The person was uninjured and did not need a transport. No word on the cause of the accident. #MDFRTRT #Heavy1‬

Miami firefighters performed a dramatic rescue of a woman who was stuck in a car that was danging off the side of a parking garage.

The woman, who has not been named, had somehow managed to crash her SUV through the Miami Springs parking garage's steel cable barrier, leaving her car dangling out of the second story wall opening for nearly an hour on Thursday afternoon.

Fire - Rescue - Units - Scene - Rescue

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said that 11 units responded to the incident scene at about 4.25pm, including a technical rescue team and a specialized heavy rescue vehicle.

The firefighters then worked to anchor the SUV and secure a system of pulleys to stabilize the car before the trapped woman could be pulled out from behind the steering wheel, Local 10 News reported.
