Motion capture technology has increased so much in recent years, thanks to films like “Avatar” and the awesome ‘Apes’ trilogy, that it’s now possible to make “live-action” films featuring non-human leads and somehow not make it look silly. One of the upcoming films that are hoping to benefit from this technology is “Mouse Guard.” And if a story about medieval mice isn’t enough to garner your interest perhaps the names Idris Elba and Sonoya Mizuno might help.
For those that aren’t aware, as we reported a couple of weeks ago, newly-acquired Disney subsidiary Fox is developing a film called “Mouse Guard,” directed by Wes Ball, based on the popular comic book series of the same name. The story follows the titular group of mice that have been drafted to defend their fellow mice from the harsh conditions and predators that await them in the fantasy world.
