To say that this has been a rough week in TV news would be an understatement, given the loss of Luke Perry and the news that America's wise uncle Alex Trebek has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. But believe it or not, there have been some not-so-miserable TV developments this week, too. The good policeman lifts the Sharpie cap with Beth's lipstick from evidence after the girls are unwilling to unplug the evidence freezer because it contains rape kits. He wasn't in this mess before, but he sure is now, and we kinda love him even more for it.

Crappiest husband: This week's episode of This Is Us left us asking one question: Randall, WYD? After all Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) has put up with from Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and his many one-sided decisions, we're supposed to watch him shut down her new passion play just like *snaps*...
