Fortnite season 8, week 2 challenges and how to deal damage with a pirate cannon

The new treasure maps give us a cool way to get the best gear.

It's season 8, week 2 for Fortnite: Battle Royale challenges, and this batch has staged quests we've seen before, but also some that will send you to new locations on the island.

Challenges - Thing - Eye - Treasure - Maps

Apart from the regular challenges, there's another thing to keep an eye out for in the latest update: treasure maps. You'll find these treasure maps hidden in chests and in ground loot all around the island. When you get one, follow it to where X marks the spot, then dig down with your pick-ax to collect a buried treasure with at least one legendary item. But wait, if the theme is pirates this season, shouldn't we be calling it booty? Yes, we absolutely should, so go get that booty!

Stage - Land - Block

Stage 1: Land at The Block

Deal damage to descending supply drops (0/200)

Eliminations - Salty - Springs - Hills

Eliminations in Salty Springs or Haunted Hills (0/3)

Stage 1: Gain health from apples (0/25)

North - South - East - Points - Island

Visit the furthest north, south, east and west points of the island

Deal damage to opponents with a pirate cannon (0/100)

Challenge - Stages - Credit - Per - Match

This challenge has five stages and you can only get credit for one per match, so your best bet here is to concentrate on it for five straight games while you complete other challenges. After landing at The Block, the next stages are (in order): Dusty Divot, Polar Peak, Snobby Shores and Paradise Palms. Here's where they are on the map to make it handy:
