Arrow may have reinvigorated its storyline this year with the inclusion of flash-forwards, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating that its upcoming eighth season could be its last.

They're not wrong to wonder either. Not every show can be Supernatural, with 14 seasons under its belt and no signs of stopping. Even the longest-running shows on The CW don't usually live past eight or nine seasons because storylines run out or actors decide they'd like to move on to another project. Arrow has already lost Colton Haynes (Roy) and Katie Cassidy (Laurel) once — though they both eventually came back for seconds — and William Holland (Thea), Paul Blackthorne (Detective Lance) and now Echo Kellum (Curtis) have all left the show. It feels like only a matter of time until one of the core members of Original Team Arrow decide that it's time to seek greener pastures, and frankly, can you even imagine a show without Oliver (Stephen Amell), Diggle (David Ramsey) or Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards)?

CW - Arrowverse - Masterminds - Work - Shows

Luckily, The CW and the Arrowverse have some masterminds hard at work creating these shows, and it's possible that they could have already built in a safety net if Arrow does reach a make or break point with major cast members after Season 8.

In addition to flashing forward 20 years in the future, Season 7 has introduced adult versions of William (Ben Lewis), Rene (Rick Gonzalez)'s daughter, Zoey (Andrea Sixtos) and even Oliver and Felicity's unborn daughter, Mia (Katherine McNamara). Most surprising of all, the show has even introduced an adult version of Connor Hawke (Joseph David Jones), who was actually Diggle's son in an alternate timeline. Still waiting on the explanation for that one, honestly...
