Galaxy S10 launches today: Final rumors on release date, specs, features and price

Samsung will officially introduce the Galaxy S10, the 2019 flagship phone that's hugely important to its bottom line, later today. Of course, we already know pretty much everything about it -- and a handful of other forthcoming products including two new wireless charging devices -- thanks to a persistent, comprehensive and almost certainly accurate series of leaks.

First there were the renders. Then the low-res, in-the-wild images. These eventually gave way to more authentic-looking press photos. And in recent days, we've seen detailed spec sheets and hands-on videos of the Galaxy S10 and its immediate siblings -- the supersized Galaxy S10 Plus and the less-expensive Galaxy S10E. All of this will mitigate Samsung's ability to astound us today with its new phones' legitimately impressive array of cutting-edge technology, which includes a Snapdragon 855 chipset, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and Infinity-O display.

And yet there may still be some major revelations in store. The company has confirmed that it will also show off its foldable phone, likely named the Galaxy Fold, at today's Unpacked event. And there are rumors that Samsung will also share more details about its 5G phone, possibly called the Galaxy X, unveil a pair of wireless earbuds known as the Galaxy Buds, and announce new wireless charging devices and updated wearables.

With so many products sharing the spotlight, Samsung risks overshadowing the Galaxy S10, which is ostensibly the focus of this edition of Unpacked. But introducing a revamped portfolio, instead of just a few new phones, could inject some much-needed excitement into the event -- and give Samsung a leg up on competitors. Xiaomi and Huawei are both expected to reveal their own foldable models at Mobile World Congress next week. A host of companies will be introducing 5G phones...
