Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo rocket motor is going on public display

The hybrid rocket motor from Virgin Galactic's SpaceShip Two will be on display in Washington, D.C., in 2024. Until then, it'll remain in Chantilly, Virginia.

Virgin Galactic wants the world to see the rocket motor that brought SpaceShipTwo to space.

Richard - Branson - Spaceflight - Company - History

Richard Branson's commercial spaceflight company made history with the craft, named VSS Unity, when it skimmed the edge of space in December.

The rocket motor was donated to the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., the company announced on Monday, and it'll be exhibited in its Future of Spaceflight gallery.
