A Missouri woman is accused of poisoning and killing her husband so she could marry her inmate lover.
Amy Murray, 40, was charged Friday with first-degree murder after her husband Joshua Murray, 37, was found dead in a house fire at the couple's home on December 11.
State - Fire - Marshall - Office - Miller
The State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Miller County Sheriff’s Department determined that an accelerant was used to start the fire in the master bedroom.
Joshua was found in the room on the bed, but an autopsy determined that he died of antifreeze poisoning before the blaze.
Investigators - Murray - Nurse - Jefferson - City
Investigators learned that Murray was a nurse at the Jefferson City Correctional Center and had engaged in a romantic relationship with inmate Eugene Claypool, 40.
Murray allegedly started the fire, then left the home with her son, 11, and two dogs and went to a McDonald's
