Serena Williams fans have claimed she was robbed of Australian Open victory after an umpire called a controversial foot fault on match point.
Serving for a quarter-final win against Czech star Karolina Pliskova at 5-1, 40-30, Williams appeared to hit an ace but was called for a foot fault.
World - Number - Serve - Ankle - Forehand
The former world number one didn't protest and served her second serve, only to twist her left ankle and dump a forehand into the net.
After the point, she grabbed her foot in pain before going on to lose that game. The 37-year-old didn't win another game and lost the final set 7-5.

Slow-motion footage of the foot fault, the first one in the match on Wednesday, appears inconclusive and fans have raised questions about the umpires' consistency.
One fan tweeted: 'On match point, really?! The linesman lost the match for Williams. She hit an ace on match point. You can't call a foot fault at that stage of the match if you haven't been consistent with the call entire the match. Her opponent started walking to the net. Williams was robbed!'

Former US open finalist Pam Shriver tweeted: 'You could not imagine or script how the last two majors have ended for Serena!
'How can the 1st foot fault of the match be called on 27th game on 1st match point? How can an ankle roll occur in next rally? Pliskova despite losing 9 of 11 games was ready to take second chance.'
