Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has won a spot on the prestigious House Committee on Oversight and Reform, which has the power to investigate President Donald Trump.

And she'll start off by questioning Michael Cohen at his highly anticipated testimony before Congress scheduled for February 7.

The 29-year-old Democratic-Socialist joined the prestigious committee on Tuesday and is joined by fellow liberal Congress freshmen Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Ro Khanna of California, according to Politico.

Speaker Pelosi announced the new appointments to House committees on Tuesday saying: We are thrilled that these outstanding Members will join these critical committees, where their fresh vision and powerful voices will be critical as Democrats deliver our ambitious agenda For The People'.

Ocasio-Cortez confirmed it by retweeting posts about her membership Tuesday evening.

'Confirmed: @AOC wins a spot on the high-profile House Oversight committee, giving her a potentially huge platform to interrogate Trump administration officials in next two years,' White House New York Times correspondent Shane Goldman wrote in a post she retweeted.

The House Oversight committee is currently led by Democrat Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland and Ranking Member Republican Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio.

Cummings said he's excited about the new class joining the committee.

'If I based the choices going on the committee based on what people said or their reputations or whatever, I probably wouldn’t have a committee,' he said to Politico.

'I am excited — there were a lot of people that wanted to come on our committee,' he said to Politico.
