Billionaire lists luxurious Colorado ranch for $46 million complete with private trout fishing

A 19,000 square-foot house on a sportsman's retreat in Meeker, Colorado, is on the market along with a prized, private fishery on the river running through the property and a four-hole golf course designed by the famed pro Greg Norman.

Henry R. Kravis, billionaire co-founder of the enormous global private equity firm KKR & Co. Inc., is relinquishing the 4,603-acre Westlands mountain ranch for $46 million, and for that price, the property comes with a lot of offerings.

History - Westlands - Destination - Hunters - Fishermen

The history of Westlands as a destination for hunters and fishermen goes back to when Theodore Roosevelt himself hunted and fished from the ranch and in the surrounding region.

According to the listing, the 'centerpiece' of the development is the North Fork fishery of the White River. The trout fishery is private and unlikely to be orchestrated on another new property 'in today's world.'

River - Structure - Years - Today - Stricter

'Much of the river structure was implemented nearly 30 years ago, prior to today’s stricter regulations,' the real estate listing boasts. With such planning over decades, there are now more than five miles of water within the boundaries of the Westlands with pools and islands for fly fishermen to explore.

The ranch also has options for additional outdoor activities including the private golf course designed and played by Australian golf pro Greg Norman, nicknamed 'The Shark.
