LeAnn Rimes took to Instagram on Wednesday to pay memory to her first grade teacher Louise Chaney.
The 36-year-old singer posted a shot of her younger self posed alongside the educator with a detailed statement making clear her fondness and affection for the late woman.
Woman - Mrs - Louise - Chaney - Grade
'This incredible woman, Mrs. Louise Chaney taught me in first grade and taught my mom and dad in 9th grade,' the How Do I Live songstress wrote. 'She was the biggest light in my life, in so many lives. I kept in touch with her my whole life.'
Rimes wrote that Chaney 'always gave [her] the freedom to be [herself] in her class.
'She - Printing - LOL
'She allowed me to write in cursive when we were still learning how to print. Printing wasn’t as pretty and interesting enough for me, I guess LOL and she just let me roll with it.'
