Man shoots three members of Florida family and may have fled with teen girl they were searching for

Police in Florida are looking for a man who shot and wounded three family members when they turned up looking for their missing 15-year-old relative.

According to the Miami Herald, the incident occurred outside an abandoned home around 9am on Friday in Miami Gardens.

Mother - Aunt - Uncle - Janiya - Johnson

The mother, aunt, and uncle of Janiya Johnson, 15, and were led to the location by the missing girl's ankle bracelet which had a GPS tracker.

Investigators believe the man who shot them had been sleeping in an SUV parked in the driveway of the abandoned home when the family arrived.

Residents - Argument - Shots

Residents reported hearing an argument before shots rang out.

'You just heard people arguing, and the next thing you know, you just heard pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, and that was it,' Elliot Taylor, who witnessed the incident, told WSVN.

Police - Suspect - Johnson

Police say they do not know who the suspect but is but say he may have taken Johnson.

She is described as a black female weighing 120 pounds and standing 5'5".
