Mr Kirkwood sits silently in his kayak as the dolphins breach the water while the surface occasionally bubbles with fish as they try to escape.
The sea mammals dip and glide through the water to feed on mouthfuls of the fish which swarm in a tightly packed sphere - a defensive technique used by fish when they are threatened by predators.
