Texas woman lied about being kidnapped to get revenge on child’s father

A woman lied about being being dragged by her hair into a car and being held at gunpoint to get revenge on her child's father, police in Texas say.

Sierra Quintanilla, 23, ran to a gas station in Waco on December 14, making the egregious claims as multiple police units scrambled to the alleged kidnapping.

But she turned herself in on January 5 and was held at McLennan County Jail after she admitted she had made the story up for revenge on her ex-husband.

The police did not reveal what she sought revenge for.

'The child’s father exited the vehicle and began assaulting the female before dragging her into the vehicle by her hair,' Waco police sergeant W. Patrick Swanton reported on the day of the incident, KWTX reported.

The police said her false narrative lead to at least one potential suspect being arrested and wasted considerable time...
