Just when you thought CNN couldn’t stoop any lower, they find a way to outdo themselves.
CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota interviewed the brother of a detained American on Wednesday, but she bizarrely spent most of the segment grilling him about his brother’s alleged anti-CNN posts on social media.

The segment began with Camerota speaking with David Whelan, the brother of Paul Whelan, a former Marine who was detained in Russia earlier this week on allegations that he’s an American spy.
Camerota grilled David about his brother’s alleged social media posts, where he shared memes that referred to CNN as “fake news.”

“There are some strange elements of your brother’s story,” Camerota said, playing up the theatrics and acting as if there was some justifiable reason that he was detained.
