A fitness trainer has no regrets after he pummeled a suspect who attempted to rob a bakery, despite breaking a bone in his hand in the process.

A close circuit camera mounted in a shop in the Argentine city of Villa Adelina captures the heroic moment father-of-five Leandro Pugens came to the aid of a female employee and thwarted the robbery.

Samaritan - Commotion - Pastries - Sunday - Afternoon

The Good Samaritan heard the commotion while he was shopping for pastries on Sunday afternoon and raced to the counter after a 30-year-old Chilean male tried to reach the cash register.

'A lot of people do things they can't do. I knew I could handle him,' Pugens told Cronica TV.

The 44-year-old suffered a broken bone in his right hand which was placed in a cast. X-rays have not determined whether he will require surgery.
