A Tennessee bus driver transporting 27 students to school has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after passengers called their parents to report his erratic driving.

Michael Ledbetter, 58, was arrested on Wednesday morning after failing a field sobriety test, according to Rhea County Sheriff's Detective Rocky Potter.

Potter said parents who received calls from their children about Ledbetter driving erratically and smelling of a possible intoxicant reported it to the bus garage.
