The modern take on Robin Hood has proven to be the biggest box office bomb of 2018, so far.

The Lionsgate film starring starring Taron Egerton as Robin of Loxley pulled in just $14 million over a five-day opening weekend.

Figure - Budget - Feature

That's a small figure compared to the nearly $100 million budget the feature had to work with.

The dismal numbers for the tale of the people's favorite outlaw posted on what was otherwise the highest grossing Thanksgiving weekend ever at movie theaters, the Wrap reported.

Story - Swordsman - Archer - Weekend

Globally, the story of the skilled swordsman and archer who robs from the rich and gives to the poor pulled in just $22.8 million this weekend.

That amounts to the worst opener for any film in 2018 with a budget of $90 million or more.

Star - Power - Budget - Holiday - Crowd

The star power that contributed to that high budget seemingly did little to pull in the holiday crowd, with Jamie Foxx as 'Little John' and Eve Hewson and 'Marian.'
