Amazon Black Friday deal blowout: More Xbox discounts, Amazon device sales and Whole Foods turkeys, too

Amazon has revealed its expanded plans for Black Friday sales, including a long list of specific discounts and deals on Xbox bundles, TVs, electronics, Chromebooks, toys, board games, furniture, apparel, outdoor equipment -- and everything else under the sun. These details are above and beyond the extensive discounts on Amazon devices -- Fire tablets, Fire TV streamers, Echo speakers and the like -- that the world's largest online retailer revealed earlier this month.

We'll share our quick takeaways from the latest announcements below, but note that CNET may get a share of revenue from the sale of the products featured on this page.

With that disclosure in place, here's what you need to know.

Fire TV recast, Ring Video Doorbell 2 and Echo Dot Kids Edition join Amazon device sale: Amazon had already signaled a long lists of devices it was deeply discounting starting as soon as Friday, Nov. 16. But in addition to the list it disclosed on Nov. 2, the following products have been added:

Fire - TV - Recast - DVR - Discount

The newly released Fire TV Recast DVR -- which we quite liked -- gets a $50 discount, and will be on sale starting at $180.

The Echo Dot Kids Edition ("You know... for kids!") will start at $50 ($20 off), with a three-pack available for $100 (save $110).

Amazon - Echo - RED - Edition - Price

Amazon will sell an Echo (RED) edition for the same $69 discounted price as other models in its smart speaker line (normally $99), with $10 of every such sale going to the Global Fund.

This unassuming black box is a great gift for cord-cutters.

TV - Deals - None - Colleague - David
